Hi,

Just wondering on opionions over two small helis for a beginner to FP. Not a beginner to helis but moving from Coaxial to FP is a complete different ball game anwyays.

I have brought a Mini CP and its a bit too much too handle and without wanting to end up braking it i think it maybe wise to practice with something less of a handfull.

I have given a walkera Super FP a try and its just as hard to fly as a the Mini CP.

So my choices lie with either the
E flight blade MSR
WL toys V911

Maybe tmart is faster in shipping

Buy a nano and put very soft travel (30-40%) and put the blades with "bullets" for a more stable flight, then you can use it for more advanced flight

Gosh shipping from the US is so muc quicker. Takes 1 month from banggood. But you cant complain with their excellent prices. I will go with the US site you suggested if i go for it. Very good prices.

The nano is a lovely heli. But im sure it would fly similar to my mini cp. Im after a easy to fly FP for practice at the mo. Ithink the MSR or V911 fits my bill. Looking toward the V911

I will give you my view I have the MSR and V911. The MSR stock flies faster than the V911. With a programmable transmitter you can adjust to your liking. The V911 ( see its thread has a ton of mod capabilities and
for the price is great.) By getting a programmable transmitter for it you can adjust to your hearts content. Start with the V911 as it is cheap and will allow you to develop you own ideas of what you want. Only you can decide where you want to go from there.

The V911 has considerably less movement authority than an MSR due to very high flybar latency with that head design. The MSR would be better preparation for flying a CP micro. It responds much faster and is not nearly as stabilized.

But, a micro quad is probably the best preparation for flying a CP heli. They have faster response and more movement authority than a conventional heli. Flying a quad well requires many of the same disciplines required to fly a CP heli. If you already have a good Walkera transmitter, buy a Ladybird 2.

Well i have a devo 8s which i can also use to control a V911 using the deviation software which i will be giving a go.

Getting a LadyBird V2 would be a good alternative as Balr14 mentioned.

On this. I have a Super FP and am looking at a Blade MSR now that they brought them back for in the house and playing out side in our parking lot.(Super FP is for at feilds)

My Q? Does the MSR shut down or keep flying if it get out of tx range?

I had a real nice 9958 that flew away on me because they don't shut down when they get out of range.

Looking at going MSR for the piveting blade grips and I hear the RTF tx even though looks the same as original 9958's (non-LED ) its a lot better than what came with the 9958's.

Yes, the mSR will shut down when it gets out of range.
