Maybe to new for most since it was introduced this year.
Very nice looking model. Would like to hear what others have to say.

Im after a glider for no lift slope days and some flat field work to slot into my quiver.
Don't want foam and moulded is too much money.
These look really nice and fit between the serious competition machines and ebay stuff.
Will do a report if I get one.

Don't think that Top Model ever made a really bad model. Good quality stuff from what I have seen. This one you are looking at would be interesting to see up close and personal. Keep us posted as to which way you go.

Nice looking plane. If you like the looks of the avia maybe also check out the Omega/magellan series of planes.

Seem to fit into a similar mold.

The Magellan-E XL is a beaut. Current exchange rate makes it the same as Avia + shipping.
I won't order until Xmas time anyway.

MooSey,
I think the Magellan/Omega's are made in the Czech republic somewhere? Unfortunately I only know of places in N.Am to order from but if you look around you might be able to find somewhere in the EU where you can get it. Might be cheaper to get it direct from the source.

Here is a review on the model. Note that Icare doesn't make them they just sell them. As does a couple of other places (NES and I think SUSA).

They (or the range) were sold in UK under various names such as the Highlight series. Unfortunately no one seems to stock them anymore which is a shame.

That's a bummer.
Ahh well, given the strength of the pound then might be worth shipping from N.Am. Although Icare are in Canada, their costs are all in US$. Doesn't look like the US$ will bounce back anytime soon so should be good till Xmas.
Good luck.
Cheers Mike

This Bolero model was designed direct for FXJ (200m/30s). You can buy basic parts and building sketch...

Tender,

Would it be possible to get a pdf, dxf, or dwg version of the Bolero plans for download to the States?

Thanks,

John

Chaps, I've been a bit busy but am going to order within a few weeks now. Im 90% set on the Avia. However just to throw a little fly into the ointment I've noticed this new model from RCM-Pelikan. The Robin - http://www.rcm-pelikan.cz/index.php?sec=product&id=3862&lang=en
It's 2.4m, full house inc flaps. I've had a Pelikan Grace before (Elegant 2) but sold it on. Nice but a few niggles. It is though £50 cheaper which is a big offset on the RC gear.
Im pretty set on the Avia but if anyone has any experience of the Robin I'd be greatful.
