I'm sure flying 3D planes you'll get along fine if you take your time.
Ensure your setup is good and then go through the Radds steps. Once you are happy with that establish the muscle memory for a good tail in hover and advance from there. Good luck and enjoy your new rotary winged bird.

Tail mounted rudder servo
Anyone have any good solutions to this?
I was planning on just buying another rear servo mount EFLH 1458 and then cut down the current tail linkage pushrod. The reason I am hesitating is I dont think it would be very secure. Anyone got good piccys or some advice. Cheers |

I'm not sure what that would buy you other than a little COG change. You could use Align tail servo mounts if the boom is the same diameter on the B400. My T-Rex 250se uses two boom mounted servo clamps and it is real secure, but they are beefier than the rear B400 mount so I wouldn't try using two of those EFLH1458 mounts.
YMMV, Don Quote:

It also allows you to tweak the tightness of the belt without having to re-do the pitchrod/tail setup (if you want to keep your tail centered in rate mode, servo at 90/neutral, etc.). Many pilots do this - especially if they've upgraded to a larger servo that won't fit in the stock location.
Can't comment on the ruggedness of the servo mounts though ... -John |

I use two plastic E-Flite mounts to boom mount a 30g tail servo with no noticeable issues with flex. At the same time I changed the stock tail control rod for a Furion tail control rod so I didn't have to mess with cutting the stock item down to size, it is a lot stiffer than stock.

I can't seem to get rid of the slop in my Blade 400 head, and most of the parts are new. The o-rings in the head seem especially sloppy. Are there stiffer o-rings that can drop into the Blade 400 head? Better yet, is there a plug-n-play metal head that can be purchased for this heli? I was looking on Hobbypartz.com but I can't tell the difference between the $40 head and the $80 head.
