Oh yes. And if it wasn't gusting to 25mph in Tulsa wouldn't be looking at mine either. Noticed yesterday a good patch of the clear was pealing off the underside
Elevator on the black ultracote. Easy non noticeable fix but I do Wish those new V2 would arrive!

Nice hbollier, how do you like it. I just ordered one, I'm going to pick mine up at Nall. I ordered the XFC scheme, gas version. Really looking forward for this one.

I've been planning this plane for 2 years. I haven't flown much lately and I was a little intimidated by it on the maiden flight as I only have one other plane this size. I need to take some time and get the controls set to my liking and properly trim it. I did the normal maiden, trim straight and level, take it high and fly slow to stall. Did some spins, pop tops, hovered (way up high). I think I will like it as much or more than my 60" Edge.

I bet you probably will. I didn't think I would like anything better than my 60" planes, then I got my 70" put together, now that one is my favorite, I did that one elec.

How much throw is everyone getting on the elevator? I am getting around 42 degrees up. Down looks like much more. Not near the plane to measure right now. I need to pull the servo arms as one is at least one tooth off. Sub trims were around 50 and 120 so it may be 2 teeth off. May need to get them both on the other side of center to get more in the up direction.

I'm not sure but that sounds about right. I could check this evening (depending on how long taxes take) or tomorrow since it's a holiday for me.

So a buddy twisted my arm and I sold him my extra....I'm kinda sad but he is just getting going and I will get some more stick time on it helping him to get going! We have another EF extra lover! I also talked him into the 60" over the other brand! lol He loves extras apparently!
Besides hooking him up with something rtf, I am making room for the edge when it gets here.

My long term plan is to possiblly go da-35 in another extra for big sky xa, I think for me it will be the perfect combo on a 30cc plane.

Quick question for you guys as I just picked up a used RTF blue one. It currently has a Scorpion 5030-220kv F3A motor in it and I am strongly considering running it on 12s http://innov8tivedesigns.com/parts/b...s-motor-kv-220 In this link you can see that it's rated at 3100watts on 12s so I am sure I can do it, however I am struggling a bit with trying to find out which size prop to get? I can and may go with 10s, but 12s would be more convenient for me with some of my other airframes/helis should I decide to share or part with the airframe. Also, roughly what weight packs are most folks running? I prefer light over duration, but an even mix is best. I think from what I am reading 12s 3300-3700 seems common? Thanks in advance, oh and I also have an email into Lucien at Scorpion to get his thoughts on the 12s prop.....
