kinda scratch build

sort of i suppose,HK plates,wanted the PCB from them and some ali tubing from B&Q.
Very light at 160g,and really solid,the plastic HK arms were 265g alone.
Got some nice Thumper 1080kv motors and some Turnigy Plush Escs to run on 4S with 8" props,want a beast aerobatic 400 size quad..

Im gonna subscribe. Not many UK based builds. Im trying to research as much as possible to hopefully make my own quad one day.

all done,Thumper motors and Turnigy 18A Plush escs,Gaui 8" props,KK2 1.2 board.
LED's for nite flying.
Comes in at 630g without lipo.Would have used smaller motors but like to make use of what i have lying around



KK2 board a doddle to setup,first hover in lounge with afew throttle blips.

just used a square piece of double sided sticky foam/tape.
real test will be outside later today,if the rain stops

can confirm this quad flies great at the field,fast,and stable,the KK2 FC is a top board..

haha! thats exactly what Im going to do with my Q450 frame!

My motors are 1000kv with 30a RCTimer ESCs and 1040 props, what do you think?

well just ordered some 12 amp escs from Abusemark,Timecop i think?

the Turnigy Plush 18 amps fitted now do fly nice but always wanted to try some SimonK firmware jobbies so heres my chance..
Ordered at 9:30 this morning and posted about an hr. later!!
i will let you all know if and how much quicker these escs perform on this already agile quad when they arrive..
