I just maidened a stinger 64 and despite it's speed, I will hang onto this little mig and fly it. Pretty cool as it fits in a box. easy to move around.

Apologies for dominating the thread....

I tried to fly mine in the neighborhood and landed on my roof. This scuffed the nose a bit and now grass landings are continuing the damage. It isn't BAD but I want to get it back into shape.

Any ideas from you other owners on rebuilding the edges on the nose and protection?

I added many hours of fun to my F-86's nose by using 'dryer sheets' and CA...this after some hot water treatment to get the foam back into shape, and filled with light weigh spackle. Remember to keep it light!

I've used clear plastic from notebooks or folder, I think I actually like paper due to the low weight. Properly sized and taped properly, it won't fail in these little jets.

While I have never tried paper (too much moisture (dew) where I fly), but agreed, I try to find the lightest mylar/plastic sheet protectors and they work like a charm...

Thanks guys. I never thought to try paper. I may give it a shot. Although, I do fly in the morning when dew is still on the grass.

Are they for sale anywhere? I thought they were completely discontinued and are unavailable. I saw the aliexpress link above but I thought that site looked suspicious.

I was lucky enough to at least get the foam parts for the plane of amazon when they had them.
