That's nice! I like the grille work, and the lg with the OS15. I still fly mine electric, flips on it's nose really easy. That's good inpiration!

Mine flipped all the time so I made a piano wire gear. No problems since.
Oh, I also moved the wheels 3/4" fwd.

This looks a lot like the Herr lil' somethin' extra. I flew mine with a os .10 and sold it after two years of fun. But I think it's time for another one and this might be the ticket!

This was a electric model that should have been a gas model that I converted back to a gas model...pheww...has a .099 OK CUB and is close to maiden...

Thanks for reminding me about the Lil Extra - I need to get mine out and fly it! Such a great plane.

I too had a Herr Lil extra but lost it due to a bad receiver. It's a shame they discontinued this model (though someone on RCG had offered to sell a kit they had but I was low on hobby funds so....) But this does look like a great mod to do for say a .10 LA that I have. Looking at the manual I think it would be a straightforward build with the fuel tank fitting nicely in the battery bay. Just need to beef up the firewall for the IC engine and probably go with larger wheels than stock.

I'd do it cos I like playing with the engines.

No one in their right mind would put a cox .010 on a small model when electric offers less vibration, throttlability and better duration.

Then again, electric motors don't offer noise, stink, fun or heart.

If you like twists then this one would make a good conversion, I'd say. I wish they would make a mini tango, tho! I've had tons of twists and the tango was a step ahead and then some of the twists in the 3D/fun fly department!
