of my pictures anyway. Align Trex 450, align 430L motor, align
35amp esc, Hitec HS65hb servos, Futaba s9257 tail servo, Futaba
GY401 gyro, align 68mm tail blades and align Trex 500 landing skids.

I don't really follow this thread but your helo looks great. Nice touch with the 500 LG. There is a thread still active along these same lines if you want to take a look. Try the Frankenheli here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1977401

We each have visited each others threads, but use different methods to achieve the
same goal.

Most of us at the Frankenheli thread are using the toy 45 degree offset flybar heads,
which require extensive experimentation to get good cyclic response and decent banks.

The folks on this thread use a totally different approach, using electronics for stabilization.

The problem is that the FBL controllers that have been available are all tuned for CP use.
Arrowshooter looks like he has his performing excellent, but not everyone has had as
good results.

I think the main modder on our thread (LaidbackRacer) has finally got it working well, but
he is still using the self-leveling heads along with the FBL controllers.

That is all about to change.

The Blade 200 SR X is about to rock our world.

It's an electronically self-leveling, self-stabilizing FP with enough cyclic authority
(in advanced mode) to do loops.

There is also a "bail-out" switch that regains control of the bird if you lose orientation.

Unofficial Video - Blade 200 SR X (2 min 43 sec)

For probably around $100 worth of 200 SR X electronics, we should be able to build
incredibly stable and high performance self-leveling helicopters just by swapping 200 SR X
electronics into our FP birds and installing FBL heads.

I knew this day would come, and predicted it almost a year ago - but I did not think the
day would come so soon.
