Just got mine from Motion RC; guessing it is the same airframe as previously sold by others, i.e.: HK, Nitro, etc.
Wondering if my Plush ESC programming card would be compatible with it’s ESC:
FMS 60A ESC with 3A SBEC
FMS 3648-600Kv Motor
Didn’t find the manual on the web; guess I’m not surprised – Assembly page attached here.
Other comments/hints/suggestions, please.

Mine from Motion RC has this mess -- Ugh!
Prop adapter is not Hex as is the spinner, and too much gap between the spinner and cowl.
A mod to the spinner's back plate is a significant effort.

Nice reply from Motion; though follow-up has not occurred as of yet.

Subject: [#820292] Motor spinner issue
Thank you for contacting us. We are happy to investigate this for you; for future
reference, please contact us before modifying parts. I am escalating your case to our team
to compare with the other P-40s we have in stock. Please allow us one business day to
identify the best way forward.
Used a Fender Washer and drilled out the 1st few threads for added clearance of a 6mm Coupling Nut – much longer/thicker than standard nut.
Runs up nice and smooth.

From Motion RC:
We were able to confirm the source of the issue and would like to send you a free motor shaft and free spinner.
We have confirmed that these are a perfect fit.

Got the parts from Motion -- exact same spinner; but a different prop adapter.
The prop adapter fit the Hex of the spinner, and has a very nice washer!
Photos show how much space there is between the spinner and cowl -- 16mm -- UGH .
Will use the new adapter.

Disappointing -- nothing told me that I'd need to cut the carbon tube to fit the wings to the fuselage. The aileron extensions are extremely short. And, the 25mm screws as called for are too short for the rudder;; and 40 too long.
Did do Split Flaps:

Thanks, they were fun to do.
FMS is no ParkZone with respect to fit and quality.
The wing panel pocket are 11.125” deep when measured with a 1/6” CF rod.
But the CF tube (27.25") gets stuck a bit shallower: RT 10.75 & LF = 10.5.
I’m thinking it would be best to cut the tube down by 1.25” ~ 27.25 – 5 (fuse) -10.75 – 10.5 = 1

There's a screw out near the aileron servo that seems to have caused the issue w/the CF tube.
Backed them out a turn or two and was able to get the tube to fully seat. Then re-tightened them.
Ready for maiden now.

Motion told me that the ugly spinner gap was created when FMS upgraded the motor which is longer than the original.
I wonder why they didn’t change the motor/firewall mount?
From a scale standpoint the supplied spinner is shaped more like a Mustang's spinner (curved/round); rather than the conical spinner on the P-40.

On the quality of FMS models I wouldn't use this p40 as a basis for comparison at all. This specific model is one of their oldest. It is in sore need of an update.
I have been very happy with both of my FMS models.
