Starmax F-14 twin 70mm extreme setup 3600watts

Ive had this for a few weeks now and just got to doing the build after finishing up my other builds. After seeing just how bad the manual is, ive decided to do a step by step build for all. Any added ideas or suggestions from all will be very welcome. There is another build thread with some very good ideas on it that I will be referring to occassionally http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1341812

My setup is the HSW extreme setup they offer on there website. I'm using everything they include in there version http://shop.hobbyshopwarehouse.com/F...-TWIN-70MM.htm
There version includes: Starmax F-14 swing wing twin 70mm airframe
2 Globalfly/Sapac MB-1 3200kv motors
2 100 amp skywing/hobbywing esc's
3 mg corona servos two towerpro servos and one std size servo
5s 5,000mah 45c nova lipo
electric metal suspension retracts are included and was surprised to see they had nice rubber wheels
I know numerous other pilots have mentioned that the nose cone is wrong, to be honest regardless of that its still a very nice looking EDF, the nose cone is a glue on addition so could be easily worked on to look more scale if thats what the builder wants. Im leaving mine as it is.
I plan on posting lots of pics.

I'm fairly a new comer to edf's. Ive built numerous prop planes, but this is my third edf build thread so im going to try to do it from the eyes of newb to edf's.

First step im going to be mounting the mb1's into the housing. Tks to x30pilot for helping me figure this one out.

Im using the Starmax edf housing and fans. From my research these fans with the MB1 motors should produce somewhere around 1600-2000 watts each using the 5s 5000mah 45c lipo. Once assembled will be doing some bench tests to get all the definate static specs.....

Instructions? We don't need no stinking instruction. LOL!

You know, looking at those fans, they look just like the HL fans that come with the executive jet...only a lot bigger.

OP good idea bud, i sure will..

OP, warbird_cowboy, earaoz welcome to the build guys...

servos: Im using two mg servos for the tailerons 1 mg servo for the steering, 2 towerpros for the rudders, 1 std for the swing wing which has the cutout already done for the std size servo..nice!!!
In addition, so far you will need one three way harness for the electric landing gear, 2 servo extensions for the rudder servos, and it looks like two for the tailerons also...will advise when i find out for sure how long each of these will need to be.. DJ
