Afro 30 Amp ESC Wierd Arming Sequence
Hope everyone is well.
Just Finished building a BoxCopter - I was inspired by Jake Wells (Thanks Jake). It flies great (well it did until it's second 'maiden' today when I think a prop went in mid-flight) I suspect I over-tightened them - anyway no real harm done
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced one esc being slower to 'go green' thank all the others. They are Afro 30A and I have no such issue on my Hquad. Here is a video showing what I mean:
Sometimes it does this, sometimes they all start together and sometimes one does a really slow version of the same music sequence but delayed and at a much lower pitch. I have swapped one out already to no avail. They have all had the heatshrink CAREFULLY removed and have all been soaked in CorrosionX.
I am wondering whether the crash today was due to prop failure or a moody ESC. Reason is that when I opened the box after the crash I could smell electrical burning and the zip tie around the 'lazy' ESC has burned through. However the quad was upside-down on the ground for a bit before I could shut off the power so maybe that was it.
Got it home, checked logs and definitely mechanical failure according to roll and pitch logs but not sure which went first - the prop or the esc. All ESCs and motors still function but one is still 'lazy' to start up. Have tried cleaning all connections. I am usings Jabrams 'signal power only' method to power to the APM 2.5 which works fin both on this and my HQuad.
Think it may be a bad solder join or loose connection somewhere???
All the best and appreciate any help.
ps - here is the build for anybody interested... Have since sorted out a proper camera mount and CG issues! The AUW is nudging 1.85KG. Is that too much for 4* 10 inch apc props???

I have just built a quad with the Afro 30amp myself. I noticed that there is a lazy ESC,although I just took it for it`s first fly this morning and all went well.
I am going to de prop the quad today and check it out.
Have you found anything yet?
