Super FR3AK- JR XG11 Radio

I am looking for a starter setup for a FR3AK.
Would anyone be willing to help me out, as I am new to all this.

Setup as in camber settings, control throws, and such?

This thread about initial radio programming is a great read for anyone new to DLG:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1441098

A good baseline for almost any airplane is:

Control Throws:
Aileron - 12mm up and down
Rudder - 20mm left and right
Elevator - 6 to 8mm up, as much down as you can get to help with the pushover after launch.
Landing Flap - 45 degrees or more depending upon your preference.

Camber:
Launch: 1mm flap, 4mm up elevator
Zoom: 1mm reflex, elevator trim for a straight climb.
Speed: 1mm reflex or flush
Cruise: 1.5mm flap
Thermal: 3-4mm flap

Start there and adjust as necessary. Do yourself a favor, and come to the Poway field on Saturday. We're having the 1st of our monthly 1/2 day DLG clinic/contests. You'll learn more in those 4 hours than in 4 weeks by yourself.

If you want to fly in the contest, yes, otherwise just come out to the field, say hello, watch, and ask questions. That's why we have these small events. So people can learn!

It needs repairs? That's an even better reason to go out and have someone look at it. There are plenty of repairs that can actually be done on the field. Those guys will set you in the right direction regardless and likely have material for repairs that are otherwise hard to source in small quantities. There is a really active community out there. Take advantage.

Absolutely bring the airplane to the field. There is an incredible amount of knowledge and experience to help you get it repaired and ready to fly.

I think I still have an XG8/14 program for mine somewhere... and if you need any parts I will hook you up. Is this the one from Paul?

Yes this is that plane. I have to figure out how to replace the elevator push rod as it sticky and the elevator never returns the same stop. I just want to use this plane to make sure I like the sport and then dive in to build one.

Roger,

Paul had requested a new fuse for it and I have one here. I just hadn't had a chance to respond to him yet. Send me a PM and I can get it headed your way. That way you can put in a new elevator pushrod and "start over" clean.

I am looking to give away my Super Fr3ak, as it was given to me. It needs a Fuse. I just am unable to find a fuse for it. Maybe someone else will have better luck. Just message me if you want it.
