New Product
New ESC from HK.

Anyone seen this and considered it?

Looks ok, based on specs alone.

Hi Mozzy. I saw that one in an email from Hobby King this morning. Looks like a decent price for a 200 amp HV ESC. I'm wondering if it's a relabeled Swordfish.
Keep in mind it takes 6s minimum to make it work if the HK specs are accurate.

Not one of Hifeis escs, sort of similar but very different.
HK have a 120 version that looks a lot like this, never heard much about it. Other than it originally had a Swordfish label then they had to change that as it wasn't actually from Hifei...
No idea where they are from.
Need a few guinea pigs, seems awful cheap for a 6-12s 200 amp esc.....

Yes Bill, that's where I found it. I must have received the same email.

Is it like in this video, Sibe?

this is the one that had a Swordfish label for a very, very short time. I'd have to assume this one and the new HV 200 are from the same place, never seen another marine esc that looks like these under any other label.
If memory serves right they might have been another colour when they had the Swordfish label, for some reason green rings a bell. Then again I don't trust my memory so I don't think anybody else should.....

I can't find the ones in the video on their site.

Perhaps not yet released. I wonder how pricey they'll be?

Looks nice. If you sit on the page for a few minutes they offer you a lower price of $130.13

Personally I would wait for a few testers to report back myself. Really makes me wonder WHY that HV esc is so much cheaper than comparable spec'd escs from known companies.
Could be great, could be garbage. I'm not going to be the one who finds out, going to be too much time, effort and money going into a 1/8 scale hydro I'd like to start building this winter.
Maybe I'm just too much of a skeptic but you don't get something for nothing....

The ones in the video are the same as these, but, watercooled with a slight program mod.

The YEP are copies of the YGE controllers, down to the color of the wiring...

The one in the video is:

HK is using a lower rating for most of the Yep controllers, but each one has a correspondent to the YGE range.

The Himodels are made by Flyer, and are the same with the Sunrise ones

I'm a little dubious of Castle Cremations ESC's after all the burning stories I heard.

Have they fixed the issues?
