Hi Gang,

i just flew my Naze32 CleanFlight driven fpv racer today. Setup was quite easy with this thread.
I run CF 1.9.0, dys SN30A ESCs with BLHeli 13.2 (oneshot & damping light), MT2204 2300kv motors, 6045props on 4S HeatRC 2200mah 40-80C.

It flew just like a boss! Maybe some very slight PID changing could make it perfect, but it felt really good to fly it.

Anyway, so i raced it over an acre and did quite aggressive maneuvers, and on two flights my quad suddenly flipped to one side and crashed. As far as ive seen it really just flips over the side. It did not tilt or fall for- or backwards... I swapped ESCs but the problem was still there on the second flight. 3-4mins without the slightest issue and then all of a sudden it crashs.
Fortunately i built a tank, so only the props were damaged.

I flew in manual all the time.

Has anyone a clue what have caused this?

Thanks for any hint! Happy flights, stay safe

Could be some desyncing. What is your looptime? I have had issues occasionally and ended up at 2500 with great reliability.

You need 4 wires from the GPS to the Naze32. Trasmit, Receive, +5V and Ground.

I've got a Dragon Fly 32 Pro (Flip32+ clone) and am using a soft serial connection.

I've attached a diagram of a Naze32 with an attached GPS. I dowloaded it from somewhere on the Internet, so I can't give credit or point to the site for more information.

Thanks for your answer!

I thought oneshot doesnt act on loops anymore? The escs "waits" for the next signal and doesnt check the signals in a loop. But i set 1500 in the GUI

What about ground wiring to the naze from the escs? Does every signal needs its ground? I've adapted the power distribution from another racer and i only went with the signals to the naze. Could this be it? But if yes, why do they spin at all?

EDIT: i've crimped all the ESC grounds together and connected them to the Naze, but it still flipped on 2 of 3 flights. Besides this it flies really great, i just dont know what to try next...

Its exactly like in this video (not me), except mine flips to the right side every time

Any logical reason Im not getting the auto level when Im in horizon mode? It works great in angle mode (snaps right back to level when I let off the stick). Only had a short time to do a couple of maiden hover tests this morning on the blackout, but pretty sure it wasnt self leveling in horizon mode. Heading out again in an hour or so as soon as the winds die down some.

Does anyone know which diode is the 5v protection for the board coming off of the motor pins? When I connect my esc to the board I get no lights, but if I connect using the computer I get the lights. I think the protection diode went out.

Edit: I think it's this diode here.
