Tug Philip W

Hi all
I am new to tugs. I have built many R/C boats.I am currently building Mosquito Boat PT 330 and a Dumas 19' utility. My question is ,has anyone built or heard anything about Harbor Models Phlip W?
Thanks George

I did a search a while ago, nothing came up. Obviously someone's built it, but not shared it with all of us here

Some issues that have come up with other Harbor Models product threads:
- make sure plans are available when you order and not backordered
- fiberglass may not be even around the inside, requiring a lot of sanding on the bulwarks

Thanks I like the look of the Philip W but it's out of my budget, so i'll have to live vicariously through your build.

The Point Fermin and Point Vicente were 10' longer than the Phillip W., but were otherwise sisterships...

Seen one built and that was by Bart in California who I beleive was the one who created the plug/mold for this kit since it was one of the original Harbor Model offerings way back in the begining.

I've always been partial to the original W/T scheme, but that's just me...

Another option would be to go with the Phillip W.'s current paint scheme. It's now called the "Patriot" and works in San Francisco for AmNav, which is a Foss subsidiary...

Is that fiberglass with a primer sprayed on or is it gray gel coat?? Does the hull look pretty good? Any close up pics?
