I have had some contacts with RCG members of us asking if there is going to be a UK AP/AV meeting this year. For various reasons last year was not too good with attendance.

So, the thing to do is have a show of hands here. If there is a good response I will set about organising something for this year.

We could thrash out dates and locations with the possibility of going back to the Midlands or with another suggestion possibly in Dorset!

Anyway I will throw this out to you guys and see what response we have.

I'm in, and also will help with organising this year. Missed last year and vowed never to let that happen again.

This is an excellent weekend, with the companionship being more important than the actual flying normally.

Thanks for starting the thread again this year Gray, good to know you and Terry are up for it. My attendance is mandatory I guess, as travelling "dahn sahth" isn't a problem. I will earmark September at the moment in advance of the poll, most dates outside August are OK for me at the moment.

With Terry and Gray on board, the meeting is sure to stay on track this year. I am still flying bigger stuff on 35Mhz, so perhaps this is a good excuse to get a decent 2.4Tx this spring.

Whatever happens, it is a great opportunity to meet up and see what folks are flying. With the incredible advances in on-board systems for telemetry, guidance, stabilisation and navigation, I'm betting there will be some good stuff to gawp at. (And multicopters )

Hey this is all looking pretty positive!!! I love these weekends, highlight of my year!
