Engine for Kyosho Spitfire 50

Anyone know if the OS MAX FS-70 ULTIMATE will fit INTO the Kyosho Spitfire 50? I don't want to cut big holes in it. Or should I stay with O.S. MAX FS A-56 ?

If your going to go with a 4 stroke. Stay with the 70, the 56 will be underpowered. But anyway you go you will still have to cut holes in the cowl.

You'll have to cut holes in the cowl anyhow for cooling. BTW, I have a saito 72 in my Kyosho ME-109. so your 70 OS should work out very well.

I have a choice between my OS .46AX or an OS .70 Surpass. Any opinions as which way to go in the Spit 50?

Gotta say go for the OS 70. The 46 will fly it well, but still sounds like a tiny leaf blower. The OS should let you fly longer on a tank and will sound so much better--not like a Merlin--but still better.

Thanks for the opinions re: 46 vs 70 Surpass. Here's a follow-up.
I have the OS .70 Surpass nib, or a Saito .72 on another plane that I could swap.
Is the 70 pleanty of power, or do I need to go with the .72?

Thanks - Larry

Did you use the stock gas tank or install a bigger one? The stock tank is appx. 8 oz. Doesn't seem large enough to me?

Also, I read in another thread that the Kyosho 90 Spit has a problem with the covering not being fuel proof. Have you seen any problem with the 50?

Gms 2000 0.47 Or Os Max 55ax ???

Hi guys.
What do you think, what engine will be better for Spitfire 50 KYOSHO ?

1) GMS 2000 0.47 RN - 485g (1.47 KM)
or
2) OS MAX 55AX - 520g (1.74 KM)

I'm waiting for opinion.
Best regards
Peter
