Help!
Lost and Found

LOST: 2/1/2013 at the AMA flying field.

DJI 450 Quadcopter (see photos) It was last seen heading North/ West from the West end of our field. Did not see it go down, so that is the best I can do as a possible location. Some flying buddies and I have been looking for two days, and nothing yet!

Rob, this morning I back tracked from the neighborhood NE of the field, in the alignment explained to me by Phil (NE between the tall saguaros) quite aways, up to inside the flood control wash, found another wreckage, but not yours. I did see lots of horse tracks in there, perhaps it will be found soon. Did you have your name and number in it? Knowing your power consumption and airspeed flying away, do you think it probably came down before the neighborhood?

If I find it, forget the reward, seeing you get your quad back would be reward enough for me I'll wander around through there here and there when I need exercise. I know Phil walked around out there some today too.

Rob, how much altitude did it have before you lost sight? I'll have a poke at it tomorrow.

Altitude set around 100'. It headed north west. From flight line look north west between two cacti and go that way...way that way...

Thank you guys!

Appreciate the help very much! I did talk with Rick this morning and he pretty much summed up what took place! I feel it came down befor the canal. The end view profile really made seeing it almost impossible.

Dave R. Brought out his field glasses today and really gave the flat areas a good go over with no results! I think it came down a little closer to the field, but as you know it could most likely be lost in the foliage.

Jim thanks for your comment, that meant a lot to me! That's what makes are club so great and that's the people like you that are such stand up people!

Thank you! The reward will stand, because it is certainly worth it to me!

swarick,

Thank you for the help! I don't want you to put your Hexacopter in harms way looking for mine! I know there had to be a reason why my machine did what it did, and it happened right after 2 very successful flights!?

I have a Y650 Scorpion with the exact same set up, and now I am having second thoughts on putting it up again! OH well I guess that is why we do this!

Thanks for your help!!

12345,

Thanks to you and your friends for your efforts! I certainly do appreciate it very much! This may just be one of those flying machines I just have to release and move on! Heaven knows I am not the only one this type of thing has happened to! Thanks again!

Take me up and I'll hang out the door with field glasses.
