My mistake

I am looking for pinout module DFT which is module that would normally go into a Futaba TX.

It has 5 pin connection on the back.

My plan is to refit this into the shell of the AM module and make the connection to the 10pin Futaba connection on an old AM system 8JN.

Thanks//

Are you wanting the module or just the pin-out configuration?

From hole nearest the edge of the module, it goes PPM, Pos, no-connection, Neg, no-connection.
They run fine on 2S.

Finished Product

End Result is FrSky module in a Futaba FP-T8JN.

This is an old AM TX with a 10 pin AM Module.

I took the board out of the old AM module and cut an opening in it to accommodate the somewhat smaller FRSky module (it has only 5 pins).

Connection to the old TX is via a 3 wire servo cable cut in half. Female cable end soldered to the pins needed on the TX 2=(PPM OUT), 3=(+), 5=( -) Slipped 1/16 heat shrink over them.

I soldered male end wires to the new module where pins would have gone 1=(PPM IN), 2= (+), 4 = (-)

End product looks like it was made that way!

Now all I need to do is find another old AM 10 pin Futaba Module so I can build one with an Orange DSMx module and this will be complete!

Based on pin layout and distances, another approach would be to remove the leftmost pins and the four rightmost pins, ans just plug the DFT without any wiring/soldering.
Should work, try this way and you will have a p&p solution.

DFT module is much smaller than AM module thus it would not stay in place without some type of modification.

Also what I did is easily removable in future should someone want to do that.

Thanks for you comments//

Sure, you can check this design too, derived from a similar idea of mine.
