Do you have cf blades? If not max throttle is 75%

Help

Just crashed mine after about the 10th flight. The status LEDs are just cycling back and fourth. The throttle still works but no servos move! WTH!

Sorry to hear that. I crashed mine a couple weeks ago. Usually it is just stripped servo gears. you can get a rebuild kit from HH or the LHS for $4.00. I rebuilt two of the servos and am back in the air today.

Hi,
I'm a noob heli pilot and took my new 300x out for a spin today. It has bad tail shake, I've reduced the gyro gain on the tx to 40% but it is still present. From one pack and two short flights it is hard to say if reducing the gain had an effect.

Should I be looking at any of the tail mechanicals or adjusting the pots on the rx?
How much can the gyro gain be reduced on the tx before it is unflyable?

My only other heli experience is mCPx/mSRx. Tx is JR DSX 9.

regards
Geoff

Is your problem a slow side to side movement or vibration you can see in the vertical fin? If it is vibration, it could be your main rotor blades are unbalanced. This happened with my 450X so I changed out the OEM blades for Align blades and heli flew smooth as silk.

Definately not slow oscillation, would be at least a few cycles per second.

Change ch 5 to 70 and see if that helps. Also check the gear switch position matches the end you set.

That's in the travel adjust menu.

Oh, by the look of the travel adjust screen the gyro menu I have played with is adressing channel 7 as that line is blanked out. Channel 5 still sais "Gear" so I have adjusted that to plus 70% and -0% so in the monitor screen channel 5 is either 70% or 50% depending on the position of the gear switch.

So in theory I could have had 100% or 0% percent gain depending on the position of the gear switch on the first outing.

I also dropped into the LHS and picked up some CF blades which I installed before getting back to the PC

You don't want 100% gain that will lead to a fast wag

That is what I appear to have had. Anyway just had another go with channel 5 at 70% and it performed as it should without any shuddering as per first attempt. I also tried flipping the gear switch in flight so channel 5 was changed to the centre position, not sure if that is zero or 50% gain but it wasn't good as the body instantly started rotating. Puting the gear switch back in high position resolved it though.

I just use the governor screen to setup my gyro with the jr9503. That uses the correct channel.

Good to hear it is fixed. Set both ends the same and if you a accidentally change the switch it won't matter.
