Are these Neu motors that underrated on power?
When used in an F5B/hotliner application (short 2-3 second motor bursts) motors and controllers can safely be used well beyond their published ratings.

Cool testing the Hawk f5b

Finally sorted out my 5s Batteries and had some great flights today.

Set up is very efficient ---pulls out just over 1000mah for a 15min flight

Arc Motor 28/58/1 3180kv with KPG 27 gb 5.2

Ice lite 100

Slim carbon prop 14 x 9 with 5 degree offset = 14 x 13 approx

Data log shows max at 108.2 amps 2008 watts------9476 revs

Average would be just over/under 100 amps for a 2 sec motor run

Comments guys Regards Keith

You should consider a RFM 16x17slim on a straight spinner for some increased fun

Keith: compare with this static run with the ARC 28-58-1, RFM 15x16 on 5S.

Yes ---I obviously need to go to the next level ---I'll need to go higher speedie though, have had 2 Ice 100s that gave up below these levels ie up to 150 amps max burst 2/4 secs

Get a modified HK200A from Gerben or jjmouris. Perfect for your setup with heaps of head room!
Next step will be to switch the ARC with this: http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m24-car-3650-3500.html
Use the same gear box and 16x17s on 5S.
