1/4 Dirtbike steering damper

Can anybody help me with some web links on steering dampers. Just ordered a SkyRc Sr4.
Don`t matter if it needs some major modification to fit.

The only dirt bike i know of that has a damper is the VMX/MM450 i fitted one to my Phantom, you will have to buy it in pieces as i don't think they come assembled but i think the bits are still available.

I was going to suggest the same thing, I fitted a MM damper to the Phantom and it really helped make the steering much more direct, quicker reacting yet still smooth. Well worth a try but like Chris says the bits have to be purchased separately. It didn't take much to modify it to fit.

The part #0411 is the part you need. The damper comes complete under that part number even though the picture description doesn't show it.

Shows it in stock at:

Thank you very much TopDave. Don`t know much about these offroad bikes, but I do know that early days when I upgraded my Gpv1, the best upgrade were a steering damper - I bouhgt the gpv1 rtr and upgraded it just before the pro kit came out. Think the cost of upgrades were around $520 with ally wheels.
Just need to get hold of Revo shock for the Sr4 - Must maybe upgrade my revo to aluminun shocks and use one of the stockers.

Dear bking134010,
This only includes what you see in the picture. Any other parts would be separate.
Thank You and Have a Great Day,

If you cant get the damper complete the parts needed to make up a damper are as follows.

0411 steering damper
0451 bladder set
0466 damper shaft set
0450 o ring set
0454 damper spring
0448 damper piston set
0426 damper pivots
10085 m2 locknut

You may also want the pivot ball 0414 to suit the damper pivots.

I have one of the #0411 packages with the complete damper in it. I will shoot you a picture of it today sometime so you don't think I'm nuts! I, too ordered all the loose parts so I could build a spare damper, and when they all arrived what I got was the spare shafts, ends, and springs, etc. + the complete #0411 damper Not the empty damper body pictured. I was miffed that they had such poor information that they would picture it that way and made everyone have to buy all the parts separate. I hope I didn't get a "package freak of nature" and get everyone's hopes up. What I think happened is they made all the internal moving parts available for rebuilds in the separate kit bags, and mistakenly pictured the shock (damper) body instead of the complete damper assembly. You wouldn't believe the mess I've gotten into recently when I ordered 2 of the complete E-gyro's for the Phantom bike from China! Screw-up on a whole different level!!
