cutting props down for pusher slot jets
Built a 26 inch ws slot pusher. Flew it with a 7x3.5 GWS. Flew ok but a bit slow. Took a master airscrew 8x4 and cut it down to a 7X4. Plane flew noticibly better but the motor was hot (not warm) afterwards and I only did 2 short full throttle runs. Should I cut it down another 1/2 inch to help the motor survive? Will that make enough of a difference in engine logevity?
thanks in advance.
