Very impressive run ! I can see that the gasoline glow may indeed have a strong place in the hobby . Inexpensive fuel (in many places) lower fuel consumption (smaller fuel load) , decent power and no added electronics loads (lower overal weight) .

Thanks for the video ..

I would like to see power & fuel consumption comparisons.

For GI/CDI with methanol CDI wins both & more than offsets the added weight of the module/battery with reduced fuel load.

The module alone adds about a quarter pound , add to that the additional battery capacity and ....

The fuel weight differences with gasoline (As compared to the observed differences with alcohol fuel in spark as opposed to glow engines. )are likely a bit lower , a matter of little concern for many folks .

Many fliers will welcome the ability to leave the CDI , it's wires , pickups , cabling , shielded plug wire , battery etc on the ground as it is not needed to run this engine .

It sure runs nice from what can be seen in the videos .

OS states HP for the Glow version HP @ 2.32
Sparky CDI box version @ 2.37

Both at the same 15,000 RPM

A difference of only .05 HP well within any reasonable margin of error . Seems the efficiencies are quite close with a barely measurable , likely not a noticeable difference .
