Tracking Antenna Questions
Iím planning on building a tracking antenna for my EzOSD Antenna Tracker. After years of FPV/UAV, I have found that a manually pointed, vertically polarized, 14dbi patch antenna coupled with an 8dbi omnidirectional antenna on a diversity receiver gives me the best performance.
With tracking, I believe my choices are:
1. One cross polarized 11dbi diversity antenna (one horizontal and one vertical antenna in one package).
2. Two 14dbi patches with one mounted horizontally and one vertically.
3. Two 8dbi circular polarized patches (one left hand, one right hand).
4. Another combination I havenít considered.

I am planning on using the cross polarized 11db antenna once I can set up my eagle eyes... I will actually be using 2 receivers... 11db cross antenna connected to a yellowjacket and a second lawmate receiver with a 6db omni on it... The eagle eyes have video diversity built in, so I can run all 3 antennas at once...
