I just finished this little creation(i was really bored) and wanted to know what everyone thought. Does it look flight worthy?

I dunno...looks cool though! Definitely keep us posted on the results. Looks like another crazy project for me to take on if it's worthy.

why not? Rudder might not have much authority, and its self leveling might be poor. Other than that i say give her a whirl. Looks like it would be fun

Flight worthy or worth flying? I guess both will apply.

Have you taken into account that a *contraption* like that, now has become a weightshifting plane?
Some way or another, in order to make it go up or down or left or right, you need to shift the CG of the stuff hanging on the bottom.
The rudder will do nothing much.

Full scale units have no rudder. Take a look/Google at *Northwing* and see how the full scale units do it. I am sure you can rig some servos to imitate the motions.

We fly one and it is just weight shifting that does all the control.

There is one commercially made, but I can not remember the brand name.

Give it a try! Rogallo type wings are very forgiving. You may have to fiddle a little with the CG, but should be fun.
I've built several of these types of powered kites over the years and they all flew well in lite wind conditions.

I'd say it'll fly. It looks a lot like my friend's design, the Gymallo. http://www.blac.net/

There are always lots of these flying around when I go to the gym. And the rudder in fact is VERY functional. You just have to make sure & use throttle to turn. There's one guy down where I fly that has a regallo similar to the Gymallo except it has a V-Tail & it'll do aerobatics. Including hovering.

If the CG is reasonable and it has enough power it will fly.

It will be slow...

"Ragallo wing" (essentially what you have there) designs have proven airworthy. A lot of early Hang gliders and ultralight were ragallo wings.

Add a tailboom with stabilizers and rudders, and you will have a blast.
So do I.
