LOL, me no think so buddy

If someone wanted to show up where I was flying a shoot some video I would do it. But I have very little time. I hope someone e-mails them, I just don't have the time.

And I only want to be famous in the adventures and skills I can share, not being in a vid.

Rock ON!!!

Bob,

DAG had to take some time away from building, but he is back and currently working on the C-130 (thread here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1200180). He will be back on the B-36 (we hope!) sometime after that.

My understanding of what Dag is going to do is this. Finish and fly the C-130, which I believe he is on track to do by SEFF or as close to SEFF as possible.

I believe he rebuilt another set of wings for the Emmasell and has test flown it.

Dag is using the motors and wheels from the B-36 on the C-130, well just 4 of them.

Then after all those are flying well, Dag will then return to the B-36, since he has to use the garage to finish it, because of it's size. Also the reason is that Mel, Dag's bride of many years, wants her car in the garage in the winter, so if Mel ain't happy, then no one will be happy. Not quite like that, but somewhat close. Mel is a very understanding woman.

Also Dag has been doing lots of family stuff with Emma. She is playing in the school orchestra, also riding dirt bikes and both Emma and Dag are tearing up the tracks with them.

So as soon as the C-130 is done, then the B-36 will become the project #1 I believe.

Dag may redo the wings of the B-36, at least that has been on his mind at times.

Happy Now

Hi!. Guys. Having sat here for weeks reading the thread all the way through, I was worried it had all come to an untimely end. I am off reading through another of Dags threads now. Will pop back with confidence now.
Dag . You are most definitely the man.
For someone who Hasnt built an airplane. Or flown one for that matter.
I am 110% blown away.

Hey all, I am here.

I am working tons for work, and with family any spare time I have now is on the C130 trying to get it in the air by SEFF.

The B-36 is up in the air right now. My C130 is working out so good with glass fuse, and foam wing and stabs, I may just start over on the B36.

I promise, it will fly one day, may be 2020, but she will fly. If you can't want, I have no problem you following other build threads.

Rock ON!!!!

B-36 wing flex and flap binding.

Hey Dag - For what it's worth, I was checking out the B-36 at the Strategic Air and Space Museum near Omaha. I remembered the issues you were having with the flaps binding as the wing flexed, so I went to the trailing edge to check it out.

Apparently the full size one had the same problem! When I looked at the space between the flap and motor, there is a sizable gap, a foot or more. I took some photos, which I can't find at the moment, but maybe just replacing the flaps with ones that aren't so tight might be the answer.

Well all, I am done with RC threads, FB only now. Sorry for those who do not FB, but in Feb 2009 I join FB, and not once had any problems. FB just has so many more people in one place to see what I post. I had posted on three different sites trying to make everyone happy.

Rock On!!!
