Nice flying!! The Mr. Sound System really adds a lot to the flying effects for this plane. Of course, the plane is cool enough by itself, so the sound is just the icing on the cake.

Makes me wish I'd never sold mine. I'm seriously thinking of picking this one up again.

The tale of two Cruisers.

My brother and I bought one at the same time. When I put mine together mine had a few issues. The glue they used to hold the landing gear mounts in was all over the place. It was in the main retracts and was actually binding the retracts up. So I pulled and cleaned the glue off and a dab of oil, grease and the retracts worked real smooth.

When I was helping my brother put his together, I checked his retracts and same thing. Glue every where. I cleaned his up and they too worked smooth as can be. One of the ESC's on his plane was missing the the plug that was supposed t be soldered to the ESC for the motor. No big deal I had one and soldered it on. His checked out and was ready to fly.

We went fly yesterday. Perfect day. Was a sunny, warm, just a great day to be outside. He plugged in the battery, and away it shot. Was air born in 10 feet. A couple clicks of trim and she was flying sweet as pie. He was just cruising it around at 1/2 throttle doing slow circuits. She does look good in the air. Landings were sweet and slow.

On his third flight, he comes in and catches a rut and both mains come off. OOPS. No real damage, all the glue that was supposed to hold the mount in, looks like it was in the retract.

After gluing the mounts in he is on his 4th flight. He is doing a slow fly by and it starts to squeal, beep and loose power. He gets it down and is checking it out. One motor is not turning, and it does not give the beeps when he plugs in the battery. He pulls the hatch and sees one of the leads has fallen of the ESC. So the solder joint failed. Looks like the one who forgot to solder the one on the other ESC soldered this one. Total crap job. So the flying was over for the cruiser for the day.

I popped the battery into my cruiser. I get her lined up and off she goes. These planes have plenty of power and take off like a rocket. I get her up , throttle back to about 1/2 and watch her cruiser around. I am checking the slow speed with gear down. It has a pretty gentle stall. Drops a wing tip a little then the nose drops. I come by for a few low speed passes.

I bring her in for a touch and go, well crap this sucks, no nose wheel. So I pull the gear up and cycle them a few times. Nope, no nose wheel. So I bring her in as slow and low as I can. She touches down, rolls about 2 feet on her nose. tore out the LED I had in the nose and scratches up the nose a bit. Not real bad.

Well I guess you can say we had a good first day flying them. They for the most part came home in one piece. We will get them repaired and ready for the next time we go flying.

Buzz.

I've had problems with the main gear a couple of weeks ago; one would not deploy although it had been working for weeks. It's fortunate the retracts, although I find them quirky, are only about $9 at Motion RC. I ordered two and the one I replaced now works fine.

All Dynam retracts have an issue with temperature - COLD. So if it is a colder day then you can strike them not working - even just one. It is unknown exactly what in them causes that, or why it is so random too.
And then other than that.... many of them are a bit flakey and can not work any time, yet fine other times.
The common "PZ" retracts around (from Hobbyking etc) do not do these things at all.
I replace ALL my Dynam retracts with PZ's!!!
Then you have a 100% reliably working retract system!!

I am not sure what is wrong with the nose gear. I have to look at it. I may just order a set from hobbypartz if there is something really wrong with them. It may be as simple as the plug came loose or they melted. I know it was not the temps, temps were in the high 80's

She did fly well. Brothers with an engine out flew straight ahead and had not strange yaw to it.

I highly recommend replacing the gear with Parkzone gear. I replaced the gear, on my GC, shortly after I got it with the Parkzone gear and haven't had an issue since, and I've had my GC for over 5 yrs, and it gets flown a lot.

I had a prop come loose during flight and didn't even realize something was wrong. The only time it had an tendency to yaw was if quickly applied full throttle at a slow speed, other than that I couldn't tell that it was flying on only one engine.

The magic temperature for mine to stop working was right around 45F. Never did understand how the temp affected those gear. I traded my GC about two years ago, and have always regretted doing that. I think I'm going to have to pick up another this summer.
