Bent Battery

This is one of my 1800 3s batteries i crashed on the weekend. I need people with more experience that me to give me their opinion on whether they would still use it.

If it isn't puffed, then I would continue using it. If you have done capacity discharges or have a general feel for the normal amount of flying time per charge, if nothing is changed, then it would seem the pack is still OK.

I've seen a lot worse packs still being used...

Agreed. I'd still use that pack.

Charge it ... as always in a flame resistant containor. I use a cheep steel tool box from Lowes, just drilled a hole in the back bottom for the charge leads.

No one likes to trash a LiPoly however that one wil most likely start to fade rather soon.

You should read this post

Monitor it well when charging, I got worse looking ones still going strong. they do loose mah after awhile though, like charles has said.

It'll make good setup battery none the less.

Charles, I just got to ask. Did you have a bad lipo experience?

I notice when ever it comes to slightly puffed or slightly damage lipos your like, throw it out, get a new one. Or are u a dealer or something :P

CYA; IMO
Things happen and his track record is squeaky clean, at least as far as he has told us.
Imagine telling a newbie to use a damaged pack and the next day the noob comes back saying his/her house burned down.
