How do I set up elevons in an airplane? I have a Focus 4x and a Hitec 555 RX. The radio has mixing functions. Do I need a Y harness for the aileron servos? Does it matter which channel these servos are plugged into the RX ?(aileron or elev.)

I'm not sure if the 4x has elevon mixing. You can download the manual here:
You won't use a Y harness and it does matter what channel the servos are plugged into.
If you don't have the ability to program elevon mixing with that Tx, you can buy an elevon mixer for under $20.

When programing the mix in the TX make sure both values (ele and ali) is set to more than 100% total, like 50 60, or at full input, like full up and right stick the throws will chop each other. any combo is ok if you need it like 60% 40% or 50 /50 as long as it all adds up to 100% or less.
Also use a bit of exp to take the edge off the aircrafts reactions. You still get full throws when you make more extream control inputs. Some radios seem to varry as to weather you use - or + exp, just make sure the surfaces move slowly durring the first 1/2 of the stick input and them move faster to the full throw in the second 1/2 of the stick input.
