Mud Duck Sport
I am in the process of building a Mud Duck Sport that I picked up recently. My plan was to use the same motor and gear set up that was used in the June 2010 Fly RC review article. Which was:
Electrifly Ammo 36-50-2300 inrunner
36 mm electrify gearbox 6.4:1 ratio
Castle 80 amp ESC
AUW: 123.8 OZ
The author has a video on youtube. With this set up, the plane can take off in less than 3 feet.
My question is: Would there be an advantage in using an outrunner as opposed to using the above setup? If so, what would you recommend?
6s 5 or 10000 mah battery 120 v esc as soon as I get the price I will post setup it will be from Motrofly I have had great experiences with them.
