I love this plane. Fly it in my driveway as I lean up against car. I wish I could afford a few of them. Love hovering around in basement. Any random parking lot. Love it.

Really? Not even your front yard?

I'll take it! I'll trade for it, some CC floats with water rudders...

But then how will you compete in the "CC on floats Hovering Challenge?"

There's not enough low- wind time to let me fly it the way I want to fly it.

To tell the truth, I really don't fly mine much either. I have room to fly it at my house, but... IDK. When I'm home, i'm either doing chores, on the computer, or working on my larger planes.

I could fly it it the RC field I fly my other stuff at, but it just seems to be kinda pointless there. I have bigger planes that fly better.

Outdoors at a field, doesn't the wind blow it away?

Depends on the day.
Where I fly it at home, its almost never too windy because I live in the woods.

No, not always. There are times when the wind isn't blowing during the day and then i can fly outside- but there just aren't as many opportunities as there might be with my beast or CC.

Oh well,.....
You probably dont want to spend more money to get your plane flying, but have you considered buying a second hand RTF transmitter for like $5 and using that to program it? Or borrowing a DX* transmitter from someone? Or even getting someone in your LHS to use a "tester" transmitter to change the AS3X mode for you? Its such a shame you are stuck in an unwanted stabilisation mode, as this is a fun plane to fly when set up correctly...

Anyone have any interest in a used and slightly dinged AS3xtra (but very flyable as is) and a new 3DRankin airframe with a couple of MicroMotors replacement motors. PM me if interested...thanks!
