On another note, I just finished the Sabre engine relocation. I also checked all of my engine bolts for tightness, i got about 1/8th turn out of one head bolt and one backplate bolt. She's ready to go! I also dug out a few servos and a battery for the TT40. I will test them when I get caught up on the other things that I've been putting off all morning to play with my airplanes!

This is the second FireFly, like the one I posted a few weeks ago. The prop is a little close to the back so that may need to be changed. I am expecting the same flight characteristics as the first one.

I think I will keep this one a little longer.

Well it's a twisted day today. I got my new fuse yesterday and today I'm dissecting my little twist.
My tail feather have been on 2 preceeding twist, and there is no more room for another set of ca hinges. So I've peeled the covering back and cut the blocks that go on both sides of the rudder. This way I don't need to cut the elevators from the horizonal stab to install them on the new fuse.
I've got my work cut out for me, getting her all back together. But what better way to spend a chilly windy fall day.

Wayne, the Candy Corn foamie looks great......I bet it's a fun little flyer! I'd love to have a paved runway where I could fly jets like the one you're building......someday.

Kerwin, you're beating a dead horse......I don't give a tinker's dam about baseball. Oh, so when are you and the Mrs. coming up? You should think about coming up in the winter....that way we can fly off the snow and ice......when we're out ice fishing!

I just got back from wiring an electric dryer in this young man's house........no biggy right? Well, this basement had so many spider webs hanging from the floor joists that when I was done my head looked like a big friggin' dirty Q-tip! When will these people realize that it's going to cost them extra to have to deal with that mess? I charged him $100 extra just because I had to go home and take a shower and change my clothes! (I gave him a range in pricing and warned him ahead of time that he needed to vacuum those webs.) BTW did you know that Johnson's baby shampoo reacts with spider webs and creates a slimey emulsion? (and yes, I use baby shampoo it gives me that look only a mother could love!)

Hey, the snowman's time is valuable!!!

I fly everything on our grass field. This one has metal retracts with suspension.

The Candy Corn flies a little differently than the first one I built. It has a different motor and I rounded the top of the leading edge.

I like the first one better.

Well, our grass is more like clumps of raised sod in a gravel pit! I still envy you your flying field.....I've seen pictures remember! Heck, the geese don't even like to land in our field anymore.....they're worried they might break a leg!
