Redwing RC 30cc MXS-R ALEK STOJANOVSKI Scheme / Unboxing and Build Blog

You did it again Redwing RC!!!

A big Helz Ya! For those Saint Louis monsters Redwing RC for putting out such awesome products, and customer service! I went and picked up my plane today in the standard tough as brick box they put their planes in. I think I can clamp that box down and use it a storm shelter.

I opened the box and saw everything secure and cozy. All the parts are individually wrapped in plastic for their protection.

I still can't even put it in words how freaking sick the paint job is. I mean its like going to a car show and seeing your first show car. No blemishes, no scratches, no wrinkles, and no warping. I don't even know how they did the lines cause they are straight and no blemishes.

I am going to try to describe the differences between this MXS-R and the other ones Redwing RC carries. I can tell you I have owned both and noticed right off the bat that this one's paint is better. Not, to say the other one is bad at all! I am just noticing this one pops out more.

The CF painted spinner is painted grey and so are the wheel pants. The carbon fiber landing gear is the same one as the other ones very strong and wide. It has the standard Redwing RC landing gear mounting in the fuselage being reinforced with metal brackets for not so hot landings. The engine box is already marked for drilling with a DLE 30cc.

Well,You guys know the rest... Its the same awesome flying plane that Redwing RC has made in the past, but just a wicked sick scheme. I freaking love it! Let me show you the pictures.

BEAUTIFUL! Is it based on a full-scale aircraft? What radio gear will you install? Engine?

RG,

From what Tim told me this was a competition he had a couple of months back. He asked for customers to create a new scheme for his MXS-R and he will give them a plane, create it and sell it. So, Alek Stojanovski won.

This is my second MXS-R from Redwing RC. So, I am going to stick with the DLE 35RA, XQ-4013s, miracle two switch with fuel dot, 16oz Fortitude tank, Opto Kill, Redwing Life 2s 2100 mah batteries and my Spektrum receiver.

Sounds like a good setup, looking forward to a flight video in the future.
and I thought it was based on a full-scale MSXR owned by someone named Alek Stojanovski. Maybe THAT'S why I didn't get any results when I looked it up before Well, Alek did a great job with it!

Yeah, that's a really nice CS. Is it limited production, or will it keep going with the MXSR?
hunter, what color 330? I ordered the blue/white, should be here next Thurs or Fri.

Don, nice job, that is really a sharp looking plane, and I already know how nice they fly. I am so tempted to get this one, but I still may hold out for when the Sbach comes back in stock. Who knows though. Like I said VERY tempting. Keep us informed on the build please.

Papa P and Mchad,

Thank you. I can tell you I noticed some differences in the old MXSR and the new one. I have a feeling the new one is going to be lighter. So I will check once she is complete. Cheers

I may have mentioned this already, but 2 guys at our club have these, 1 elec., 1 gas (dle30). The guy with gas had arm surgery, so he hasn't flown in a few weeks, but the elec. one flies every weekend. He is not a 3D guy, but he's an excellent pilot , and does all kind of acrobatic stuff, and his plane is SO smooth. He is running A123 = to 10 cells, so a tick on the heavy side for 3d, but for power, and smoothness pretty impressive.

Sorry I haven't posted. I have been so busy. This is an example difference between my old MXS-R servo hatch compared to my new one. You can see they changed it to make it lighter and used wood instead of the metal brackets. Also the hole for the servo arm is bigger. Redwing keeps updating their products to make them better. I love it!
