fouga magister Christen Diffusion 90mm fan

here's the cold part of the year, the paret you build instead of flying....
so to avoid boring ,and because i'm awaiting stuff for my other projects( f 18 byron)
i 've bought recently this fouga
so here it is ,
it was a quick build as i "only needed" to put servos and built bracket for the fan and a exhaust pipe for it
also made some cool scale as head light and install functional airbrakes in the wings

it already flew twice and flies great !!!! take off are gorgeous and landing arte scary but in general this is a really nice flyer!

fan is a classic HET fan 9305 and HET 700-68-1680kv on 8 cells
batt's are 2 5000mah 60c 4cells from www.onlylipo.com( they have really good prices on lipo's!)
flight time 6 minutes

so,pictures better than words

Nice

Always fun with planes that are not so common.
How did you do the airbrakes?

yes
it is cool and still available
but quite expensive
and long build process
there's one for sale on a french website
here it is

http://mach2.2.free.fr/brocante/affi...tegorie=AVIONS

all servo's included in the price ,and a SS thrust pipe for 700euros
it is quite big due to its wingspan which is 67"

here's a feature in a mag

http://christen.diffusion.online.fr/.../Fouga_RCJ.pdf

funny this one is the same scheme as mine , didn't see it before

here's how the airbrake is made

Beautiful model! There is a full size flying at a local airport near me.
Are their any "cheater intakes" needed?

What surfaces are used for roll control (I didn't see any ailerons)?

Thanks!

if you look closer ,you will see them , the wing is so fine , smooth and well done ,then you can't see any differences or junction

as i said this one FLIES well , and this without any cheater , just some air come through the nose gear door ,that 's it , i was pretty scared about the small size of those intake , but the only thing it makes is a really nice woosh sound

this is the second flight , not perfect yet , landing was still sensitive , but i handle it better now after a couple of flight
airbrake are amazing and give the landing a perfect look!!
