I'm at about 8lb 10oz with a 5000ma pack. Well, I was with the stock motor. Might have changed by an ounce or two now with the P-60. stock other than that.

I assume you will call Horizon and they will replace the servo and any damage to the plane.

Using the GoPro...

Hi All,

Got to go flying last weekend. Winds were approx 15+. First time using the GoPro and editing with GoPro Studio. I had my friend Andrew (and expert pilot) take it for a spin. Here are some snippets of the gang at Veteran's Field.

Veterans Field 6.8.2014, Bealeton, VA (1 min 56 sec)

If you enlarge the window, you may have to replay it for the HD to kick in.
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did putting it togetherů

I went thru the stock motor in just about a dozen flights.
If you note a vibration at high throttle settings, remove and reposition the prop til the vibration is gone. The vibration shakes the magnets loose.

I have noticed that the motor prop hub gets out of whack and balance and you will pick up a bad prop vibration at different RPMs. Re-positioning helps if you get it right but it is trial and error method.

I ordered a replacement hub from Horizon to see if it would fix the problem but they sent me the wrong hub. It fits the motor but not the prop. But I was able to try a couple of different props including a a 15x6 Master Airscrew that flew it well.

Power 60

I think I'll go with your suggestion and use a Power 60. I've noticed a high pitch sound with a 6S 5000 on the stock motor which I've never heard with any other motor. And I'd rather change it now rather than wait to throw a magnet.

following the failure of the elevator servo that resulted in a crash, Horizon was more than willing to make it right. Here is the retest fly of the plane.
