Burnt Turnigy 3536 1400

Well I finally burnt my Turnigy 3536 1400 motor.
It's a 12n14p, would like to rewind it and get it back working.

Does anyone know if this is standard 12n14p dLRK ?

I see that the stator has "12t" written on a couple teeth.

Anybody rewound these and used same 12 turns ?

thanks,

L

Similar motor which was dLRK delta. With a good set of wires on it the motor will be significantly more powerful and efficient. If the Kv is good for your application I would stick with it. When I wound the 3530 I counted 13T on the only tooth that came unwound. I later discovered the spec was 14T. The slightly higher Kv worked out fine when compared to the OEM wind in the test charts on fly brushless. Don't be surprised when you unwind it that the turn count is inconsistent from tooth to tooth.

As you can see in his thread, zeroback learned that removing the green factory insulation coating from a stator with glued windings really adds some work to a rewind. But a stubborn motor re-winder does not give up easy on dead motor.

We had a good thread show up here a few months after he did that and it surfaced some good methods for getting glued windings off using heat rather than solvents. That thread is here:

Saving the original coating will really speed up the rewind. If you can get a count on the turns or even an approximate count it will help with choosing the new Kv if you want to adjust that.
