Pilots Report Drones Flying Near JFK Flight Path
3 time in this month this is no good for business

This is not good. Governments don't generally say "you can't do this activity" unless it is perceived that the activity can be a danger to the public. They step in when common sense fails. It's clear that one or more multirotor owners in the area of JFK do NOT have the common sense to keep well clear of the airport, and/or have not "gotten the memo" about keeping under 400 feet.
One or two idiots will make life more difficult for the rest of us.

I'd like to see the actual reports. 3000 feet? That's pretty damn high. "Not sure if it was a balloon or a drone." So he doesn't have a clue what the hell it was?
