SLS (Self Launching System) 4.5m Ventus 2CX & Dolly Trolley Wagon

SLS (Self Launching System) 4.5m Ventus 2CX & Dolly Trolley Wagon

Took's it's first maiden today, flys beautifully.

2400 watts on a 4s, sends this 12.3 lbs (with all batteries) Sailplane almost straight up, Yippee !
I have some bigger carbon props coming in White.
Nose cone & firewall came out excellent fit & finish.

Dolly I built from scratch keeps the cg over the center on the dolly
8" precision bearing wheels, rolls on grass with no problem.

I'm happy to be flying again, and love SLS on flat land flying.

Pauly

SLS.... I have to ask the question..... You're launching this plane from the dolly on a powered takeoff?? I've seen small planes on a dolly, glider winches/ hand launches/ catapults but I'm at a loss with a dolly for a plane this size. I'd love to see a few launch videos.

And what a beautiful plane. Thanks for posting. Mike

Yes, no problem launching, works excellent.
I'll have some video when the weather gets a little nicer, couple weeks or so.
Thanks, Pauly.

You should name it the "Pauly Dolly Trolley"! LOL Seriously, very nice job on designing & building the dolly...beautiful sailplane too. And I second the notion to get some video uploaded when you can. What were the 8" wheels originally intended for? Are those pneumatic tires?

How bout Pauly's Dolly Trolly. ok

I was wondering who was going to be the first to ask about the wheels.
No not air filled.
Front wheels off a Wheelchair, fairly light & roll real easy.
Thanks, Paul.

Appreciate the info on the wheels. I didn't notice an air valve in the photos, so I was curious about the tire type.

When you shoot the video, could you possibly land back in the dolly? It would make the clip more entertaining and show-off your piloting skills (yes, I'm kidding! ).
