I don't think it would hurt a thing in the bigger engine either.

That's a thought regarding wasting oil though. You'd have to decide if it's worth the convenience? Would be to me, but you opinion may differ.

I would only do so if the oil requirements do not differ too much. Not only due to wastage of oil (to which I agree also) but also because oil affects running behaviour.

My big scale car (zenoah 26 cc) needs 1:25, my gasser helis (zenoah 23 cc, but otherwise identicaltype) tend to vibrate a lot more on 1:25, and are much harder to adjust properly. I run them on 1:40. That difference is too big in my opinion.

If the car would be happy with 1:35, I guess I would take the easy route and use one can.... But it's not....

It's not a one piece silencer, but an ASP 46/52 'quiet' silencer bolts straight on and takes away the aggressive bark of the standard unit. On an APC 13*8 mine dropped from 83 dBa with the Evolution silencer to 78 dBa at 8450 rpm with no apparent loss of performance driving a 7 1/2lb 68" span classic Frog Mustfire. Unfortunately I don't have a record of the revs with the standard silencer. I did have to screw in the main needle by over 1/4 turn but the engine seemed to run much more smoothly through aerobatics - the extra exhaust pressure seemed to be beneficial.

Good report. Less noise with no performance drop is a good thing.
