I haven't flown mine in awhile.

Might have to change that.

I switched to the Volitation flybar per a customer comment on Hobby People's site and it does in fact hover better. The "toilet bowl effect" is mostly neutralized. Still wants to TBE just a bit, but not too badly. However, I haven't taken the time to actually fly it. I'm afraid of putting too much stress on the motor simply because the Volitation part is so much heavier. This isn't really a hovering machine to begin with; it wants to fly.

Has anyone else out there done a similar mod and if so, how did it go?

I should also point out that I have the shaft upgrade as well. I'm still on the original motors, too.

Went to fly my x350 tonight, and the left control stick was broken! I'm guessing it's a spring? Un useable. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, thinking about the BL upgrade. Is it worth it?

I've moved on to the HP X2. Yes the Brushless motors are worth it. I am not caring around a Hero 3 camera on the bottom of my X2

The X-2

I have the new version of the 350 the x-2. I can't compare them because I never had the 350. I can tell you after two days of flying I like this bird. It is very stable, has plenty of power and is fast. I have crashed it one time by getting it stuck 20 feet up in a neighbors tree. It then fell down without damage. That's pretty durable. I am a little concerned with the stock brushed motors as I did detect a burning smell but noticed no drop in performance, perhaps they were just getting broke in. I do have the brushless motor upgrade and will install them soon. So far so good and I like the ability to add more channels and control as you progress. At least I can fly this thing outside and it is fun.
