hi jalves,

I am following this thread for few week and decided to built my own tracker
I have now received the antenna, 4" Ball Bearing Lazy Susan Swivel Spinner Turntable , slip ring, gears and servo + arduino's board.

I will assemble all those part within very next week

I have downloaded the firmware's file but can't really understand the links between those: I suppose I should open openDY_AT_RX and send (compile) to the arduino board,

but how the other files are connected to the main "openDY_AT..." in your code ?

where should I change the code to use full & unlimited pan rotation ?

I will try to make pictures of # step when assembling my system

Rgds

No need to worry, Download the arduino IDE (it creates a folder Arduino in your Documents folder), then just download the ZIP and install it in your Arduino folder.

Navigate to the folder you just create and click in any .pde, arduino ide should open the file and "attach" all the needed files.

As is, the software will use 360PAN if you use a winch servo or aprox. 180PAN if you use a regular servo.

I don't know if using a unlimited rotation servo will work. Try it and let us know how it goes.

Please, post some pics of the build

it limits a portion of code that is executed IF the condition is true or else ignore it.

Yes.

All the code that is included between #IF and #ENDIF is executed if the statement attached to the #IF is true.

Thanks, I don't know this statement !
We can learn all time from other...

I will take more time to understand your firmware properly, I want to use LCD to see all message sended to serial monitor, have setup message and so on....

I would like also to send GPS to blue tooth module to catch then on my laptop and send to google apps

I wonder if the gps info are good enough, why no install OSD on the tracker output and have less weight and power consumption on the multicopter, in this case the arduino TX can also modulate Voltage reading using embedded ADC those would have to be split on RX .....

Hi jalves,

witch version of arduino ide are you using ?
mine didn't accept your file (for Rx) saying :

"As of Arduino 1.0, the 'BYTE' keyword is no longer supported.
Please use Serial.write() instead."

Hi Sky,

You have to useArduino ide <1 i.e. arduino 23.

didn't port the code to Arduino 1.x yet.

Hi Jorges

I download the previous 0.23 IDE
The verifying i working good now is this version
By the same way I have seen that there is now 1.0.1 version available (I was 1.0) always a wagon late

I have all material now and I will starting building the main frame this week
This will be alu frame and antenna's vertical support will be removable to reduce the volume to a very flat case for transportation, antenna will act as the top cover like a briefcase.......
I have to buy a briefcase handgrip now

I will send picture as I will start assembly

Hi Jalves!

What an awesome project! A huge respect.
I am planning on doing something similar, possibly for my bachelor.

The idea is to downstream UAV serial information of a whole lot of sensors and decode it on the ground. So far they have done it with an xbee which hasn't been a great success.
Do you know about the amount of information that can be streamed via audio?

Looking forward to trying your code soon!
