Speaking of the continuing popularity, I have a very special treat for my fellow Wildcat aficionados....

While I was at SEFF 2015, I caught up with Matt Andren who graciously granted an exclusive interview to explain the genesis behind our Wildcat:

It's AWESOME to hear how the model came about from the man responsible for it....what an honor to hear it from the designer himself.....
So John has skills! Journalism could be a semi-retirement plan!
Guess kidnapping Matt with new Wildcat runs for random, would be over the top.
He did an excellent job for us and in keeping Wildcat's venerable history alive.
Thanks. Chris

Yes... John may have a future in the bizz, but as a local TV news reporter myself, I have only one critique... Remain silent when the interview subject is answering a question as you can drown out their sound But for our purposes he did a fantastic job! I wish I could report on fun RC stuff. I'm at work right now in fact covering a fire where unfortunately not everyone made it out. Checking RCG helps keep me sane between tragic live reports.

Must be hard doing the four 'Ws', especially in the face of tragedy with kids involved.

When running a chainsaw or flying, if my mind wanders , I quit.
Both are great diversions

Oh yes good advice there.
After the big environment shot, I'd suggest getting a bit closer, both for visual impact and for that little mike's sake, but what do I know?
Old press photographers' rule, 'f8 and be there'!

Wildcat!

On a much lighter note... Picked this up for $80 the other day
Weathered and ready to fly. The guy I bought it from took great care of it. He also added a bomb drop which I may remove as he didn't have a bomb for it. So with this, my original and an airframe stashed away, I should be all set. Excited!
