F3J in the DEEP SOUTH- Houston

Well I have the OK to fly some more F3J in the 2015 Tour.

The second stop is HOUSTON, TEXAS where I hear everything is bigger.

We actually have assembled 4 pilots from the MIDWEST to team together.

22 pilots have already registered. 4 man pilot teams.

Better get moving and register. These events fill up fast.

This is shaping up to be a high powered event. All of the top 5 finishers from 2014 are signed up. Several of the pilots attending have World Championships experience and/or titles.

For RV Park information, check out RV Parks in Crosby, TX... and Highland, TX. Be aware that these are full a lot of the time because of oil-field workers in the area.

Sorry Daryl should have posted this earlier.

The web site we created in our bid for the 2013 TS is still up and contains all the information about field, lodging, directions etc.

Here we go .. almost ready and the forecast looks good.

The rules posted on F3Xevents call for a 7:30 pilots meeting and 8:00 first round. With Daylight Saving Time this may be optimistic since sunrise is at 7:20 in Houston.

Please make sure you have a valid email listed on f3xevents and I will keep you updated if there are any changes.

Gentlemen,

The pilots meeting this Saturday will be at 8:00 am with the intent of starting Round 1 at 8:30 (you should have received an email with the same information if you are signed up).
Please remember that this is a sod farm and we are not allowed to drive vehicles unto the field. We will pick up all equipment at the end of each day (Friday and Saturday).
If there is enough interest I can arrange to pick up acouple of sandwich trays at a local grocery store for lunch, let me know. Depending on how the contest is running we may or may not have a lunch break on Saturday.
Friday the field will be open for practice provided that we do not interfere with the sod farm operations.
You can call me on my cell if you have specific questions. We look forward to seeing you in a couple of days.

Sincerely,

Stefano

Thanks Stefano!

Weather forecast looks nice. It'll be nice to get out of the cold for a few days. Looking forward to seeing you all out there.
