Whats Super Scale

Recently there are so many nice and improved scale solutions out in the open. Everyone talks about super scale, but have a look at the pictures attached, this is what I think is just about what I think is super scale. This Bell 407 has a complete cockpit, the mechanics are all in the engine compartment, battery is accessible via a hatch at the belly. Its a 470 sized helicopter, tow 1.1kg, working on a 6S setup. The item is available via scaleflying.com already. I wonder if anyone already got one?

I'm still installing the mechanics in my 407 but here's a video of the 206 from the same manufacture. I have both the turbine and electric mechanics for it.

Kousuperscale Bell206L turbine with GPS 2.5m (7 min 33 sec)

Oh, I got it! You're suggesting aluminum skin, rivets, and sub frames, honey comb filler, working gauges, everything actually bolted or riveted together.....all like the real deal?

So, let's see how your models compare to the real thing. If they are anything like you suggest, I suspect that;
1- It's too heavy to fly
2- It's too complex to bother attempting
3- Not cost effective enough to build

Show us what you have not wasted your time building.

This is,
I think its quite reasonable for its price. The seats are actually made out of polyurethane foam, thats whats used for most real heli/car/bicycle seats as a filling. If you have someone seated on those comfy chairs, they will sink in just as in a real helicopter! Dont get me wrong, this is a small scale helicopter, 8lbs TOW, ran with a 6S battery. No WAY and not fair to compare this to what you did.

Its pretty well done for its size. You know that whilst doing scale, you loose the chance to work out details the smaller the things get. I really admire what you have created! This RC world lives of people like you. I manufacture the V-22 for Tom (www.rotormast.com) and I spent a year of my life on it.

Actually, I'm the owner but the build credit has to go to George Blanchette. He's the guy whom designed and built my 407 completely from scratch. He also owns SuperScaleHelis.

In addition, I own one of the V-22's. I have the scale version and I must say that you did a wonderful job with it. It looks amazing. Well done!
