What size die for making controll horns
I want to thread a brass rod so I can make my own control horns for a Nan Shadow. Should I use a 3mm 5 die or a 3mm 6 die so it fits the inserts in the flaps and ailerons? I believe the 5 & 6 designations are for fine and course threads. As for the bar stock, should I use 3mm brass rod and run it through the die?

First of all, just buy the horns. They are sold everywhere.
Second, 0.5 is the standard pitch for M3 and yes, 3mm OD rod is correct.
Third, you'll want to start with 4-5mm rod, turn it, thread it, mill it, then drill it. Or just but the horns already made.
