Just did a power test with the Turngy D2826/6 2200KV motor and got on 3 cell 2200 40c battery the following,
229 WP for 19 .5 A, using a Master 5.5x4.5 prop. and on an older 25c batt 213.WP for 18.8A.

hi guys!

I bought mine on saturday, this weekend i will be made my maiden flight.

In a few months i will install an FY41 Lite on this plane, anyone have it installed?

can share in wich place of the plane have been placed?

Jeff, that's a great idea! You solved the 3 things that bother me most about the SS.
1- the wonky reaction to power application from the high-mount motor.
2-the lack of vertical pulling power from the small diameter prop.
3-the loud, high volume & pitch of the high KV motor turning the small prop.

And using a folding prop, you don't compromise the SS's "prop-safe" feature. (I had a balsa Goldberg Electra with a folder I flew for years without a problem).

Hey RexGalore , thanks ! I have been flying the crap out of my sky surfer , 2200 has become
the pack of choice for me . After the mod was complete , i checked C.O.G and found it nose heavy , made the adjustment , hand tossed glide tested a few times then gave it a try . Enough power you really dont have to give it much of a push at all . Hope yours
goes as well as mine did , i am very happy with the NEW sky surfer . good luck !
