I have since reinstalled the back stay but here is proof she sails pretty well configured with the beam and forestay triangulation only.

No Back Stay (2 min 4 sec)

PS my first video too.

My apple computer with Imovie gets all the credit. It's amazing how much pure garbage is on the cutting room floor. In truth I don't see how Crash does it.

PS when you gonna start planking anything? I'm considering a strip or planked hull for something. I have some rough cut cypress boards that I will turn into planking or strips in a heart beat.

Captain Absent. Some day one of us will have to paint our boat the faster color. Yellow means fear and that's a good motivator sometimes.

It is possible I just might be able to make the sail this Saturday. Will have to dust of the Nirvana.

Saturday April 28, 2012.

It was another nice day to sail. The wind was a little light, but there was no shortage of sailors, boats and fun.

The sailors today were:

Murphy
Scooter
Crash
Foot
Sea Dog & son
D Day

And guests

We had 6 Nirvanas, a couple of Atlantic tugs, a Springer tug, a fishing boat, and a whole fleet of war ships brought by Sea Dog.

We had a lot to look at today as we set up one more time in anticipation of the upcoming regatta next weekend. Sea Dog made a rare appearance with his son who has really grown since the last visit. He brought a half dozen toys and the seas were perfect for the haze grey navy. No drama today...just lots of fun.

Here's the pics:

Your Sport Fisherman is just sooooooooo cool!

You need a farmer's M80 launcher to chase those ducks away!

Nice pics Crash. Was a nice day and we had a big time. I hope it won't be so long before I make it down again.
