SB, No I havent layed one up yet. It is for our HK powered test plane to try some new ideas and the plane isnt quite finished yet..

I saw the cad drawings of the prop that Paul has designed for our new F5D project and it looks really nice, cant wait to get some aluminum on the mill to make some molds.. And then some alloy for the new plane.

Be careful with Pauls F5D designs, sometimes he even forget to add the basics like elevator!!

This is a great idea, I´m discovering props I didn´t know

One question, max power or max RPM are proportional parameters if you´re thinking about an specific prop, right? Why the max power for Marcus Koch props and max RPM on Slow Barless props?

I´m the only one thinking this should be a sticky?

Hi Andres!
My props are tested up to 35.000 rpm on the smaller ones! The bigger ones are tested to about 20.000-22.000 rpm which consumes the 8-12kW we fly at the moment in our speeders!
A lot more props come soon! I´m hardly working on them !

Ciao, Marcus

Because tensile failures are the most common when it comes to props and Max RPM limits are a good way to ensure the tensile loading of the prop is kept low enough to be safe. (Tensile loading is determined by RPM).

Max power can vary alot depending on drive efficiency and other things like altitude and air density.

Also, mine are rated to a power level since I don't necessary know the RPM of the system used to test. This has the obvious downside as mentioned that differing setups are different efficiency....

today I got mail from stefan baier and I screwed together another prop for my 5035-evo powermonster.

it's a8 blade 9,1" x 23" folder.

looks just like the prop of A 400M :

you could call it "unducted fan drive".
hope for having a lot of fun with it.

no.
you will find, as more blades you have, as less balancing is needed.
if all blades have the same weight. (I usually check them for 0,01g)

it's noise is very special.
