Dave/guys
Sorry to break in here. Just a quick question, does hyperion/SS have plans for anything in the 6kW+ range. In an old hyperion catalogue, which i was looking at the other day there was a 6527 if i recall and some other motors of that size, but obviously they haven't progressed on it. The 5545 scorpion just aint enough, but pletti predators are simply too much $$....I'd like to move up to 85-100cc and want to stick with hyperion as they've always been totally reliable. So whats on the horizon Dave?? Also whats happening with the higher cell count esc's or the 12S 200A job. regards Dave |

My apologies to Hyperion.
I changed the controller to a phoenix HV and now it works fine. With 11.5v at the ESC input the measured current draw is now 43A and the 12x12 APC prop rpm are 6930. Still a little lower than computed but very close to be considered correct. I think i had left the PWM settings for the kontronik Kira 600-16-6.7 motor in. Chris |

I've been so impressed with the the Gs3020-12 I put in my Art Hobby Ibis that I'm considering a ZS in my current project. For some time now I've putting together a Sr. Telemaster as a club towplane. I'm looking for about 2200-2400W on 10S swinging a 18" prop. I'm trying to decide between a ZS4045-12 and a Scorpion 5525-225. Other than a $30 price difference the specs look very close--within an once of weight, very close Kv's and power ratings.
It appears from the pictures that the 4045 only takes a collet adapter. Is that correct? No bolt-on adapter for a 3000W motor? kendall |

I use the ZS4020 for a 12lb+ airplane with a very high wing loading (38oz/sqf) and it fly it with authority. They also run very cool. I do have the ZS4045 and ZS4025 also which is enough for a 6-7kg (~15lb) plane i think. I don't remember either seeing a bolt on adapter in the boxes. Chris |

Hi Guys
Dose anyone have any ideas as to why when I first start my Hyperion 3020-10 it appears to stutter but other wise seams fine the Esc is a Eflite Pro60 and the batteries Nanotech 3.3amp 25-50c.I’ve tried running it up with the prop off and I don’t think it dose it I’m intending to run 13 to 14inch props ?
